Oscar's dreaming...
Oscar knows something is pursuing him.
He’s in a house that’s entwined in vines and foliage, overgrown and spiraling throughout the carpet, walls, and fixtures. When he turns his gaze upwards, he sees stairs and different floors, towering over him endlessly, going up into darkness. The architecture juts out and some rooms have open walls, giving a view into their interiors. Some parts of the house look akin to a greenhouse and there seems to be sunlight coming from somewhere, but he needs to keep moving, he needs to leave.
He looks for a doorway but can’t find one. He looks to one of the windows and the plants have broken through it and he can climb past the glass. He does so, and sees he’s entered another house, a different build than the first house, but still the same winding plants and strange architecture.
He finds another window and goes through it,
another house,
and another,
and another,
He tries to look through the greenhouse windows but the outside view in blurry and nothing can be made out, like the glass is made of tiny lines stacked on each other to obscure view.
He climbs the stairs and tries to find a window.
He reaches through one, crouching to avoid his head scratching broken glass. He enters another house and sees he is no longer on the second floor. Now, the floors extend off into the distant dark and the ceiling is right above his head, inches away from his eyes as he remains crouched.
The change makes him dizzy and he feels his body tilt,
and drop,
Oscar wakes up.
